Ectopia Cordis- Heart Outside Body
Ectopia Cordis is a defect in which heart is located abnormally. The heart may be located in the abdominal cavity, neck or outside chest. Babies with Ectopia Cordis have good chances of survival if the doctors meet suitable condition to perform surgery and relocate the heart. There have been many cases in which babies were born with their heart outside the chest.
