Goliath Bird Eating Spider
The Goliath bird eater spider is found in the rain forests of northern South America- Surinam, Guyana, northern Brazil and Southern Venezuela. Although Goliath doesn’t prey on birds, the name bird eater was given from an early 18th Century copper engraving by Maria Sybilla Merian.
