Chand Baori, Rajasthan
Ever heard of a well of the stairs? Believe it or not, in Rajasthan, India there is an ancient well of stairs named Chand Baori. This well was built by King Chanda of Nikumbha Dynasty and is very old. It is believed that it was built between 800 AD to 900 AD. The step well in around 20 meters deep and has around 3500 narrow steps arranged in perfect symmetry. During rains, the Step well used to get filled with rainwater.
